ICT and Education

Introduction to the ICT and Education Program

Welcome to the postgraduate program in ICT and Education! This postgraduate program is offered by the Australian Centre for Educational Studies to support the needs of those interested in teaching and learning with information and communication technologies. The program examines the design, and evaluation of ICT projects, using technology strategies such as e-Learning, and how these are applied in a range of learning contexts - in the home, in schools, TAFE colleges, higher education and workplaces.

Delivered in flexible modes, the program has been specifically designed for busy professionals.

  • On-campus classes provide participants with opportunities to work with colleagues and compare implementations across different sectors to explore new theories and ideas and to use these to address real life, teaching and learning issues.
  • Online activities ensure that all participants have opportunities to participate with their colleagues.
  • Reading and assessment tasks enable participants to examine issues that are specific to their particular context or institution.
  • The core and elective structure enables participants to focus their studies on areas that are of interest to them, while ensuring that they develop the advanced knowledge required for effective research and practice.

Program Structure

The postgraduate program in ICT and Education offers both coursework and research options delivered through a combination of face-to-face and online delivery modes.

Coursework Programs

The postgraduate coursework program in ICT and Education comprises three awards:
