About Drawing Australia

Drawing is a way of seeing and making meaning. In a world now dominated by visual concepts and communication, drawing can provide a dynamic language enabling everyone to participate in this visual culture. Drawing Australia explores ways in which people of all ages, cultures and abilities use drawing. We encourage everyone to draw by organising special drawing events. Everyone can join in! Research - Learning more about drawing

Drawing Australia is founded on a teaching and research program. A number of interrelated projects are being developed to investigate how drawing is used by people across all ages, in different disciplines, and in different cultures.

Drawing Australia is supported by The Australian Academy of the Humanities (AAH). The Academy aims to advance knowledge of, and the pursuit of excellence in the Humanities.
