In a world now dominated by visual concepts and communication, drawing can provide a dynamic language enabling everyone to participate in this visual culture. Research - Learning more about drawing

Drawing Australia is founded on a teaching and research program. A number of interrelated projects are being developed to investigate how drawing is used by people across all ages, in different disciplines, and in different cultures.

Drawing Australia is supported by The Australian Academy of the Humanities (AAH). The Academy aims to advance knowledge of, and the pursuit of excellence in the Humanities.

ArtPlay’s BIG DRAW Festival of Drawing – Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September


On the 13 and 14 September ArtPlay will be buzzing with all that encompasses the ArtPlay BIG DRAW Festival of Drawing. ArtPlay has been awarded Drawing Australia Innovation Awards each year since 2005 for their inspirational programs.

 

Big Draw 2008 dates

Organisations, groups and institutions are invited to join the Big Draw by planning a program to be held between 1st September - 11th October 2008.

Programs for the Australian Big Draw will be registered through the Big Draw UK website
