Local Ecostudy Project

Our ability to care for our local environment requires us to know about the plants and animals that share their environment with us. This knowledge enables us to recognise changes as they occur over time and make judgements about whether the ecosystem is healthy or not. To sustain this endeavour, these projects connect with agencies within the school and beyond into the local community. Students are able to utilise a variety of mobile technologies to collect data and represent this information in a collaborative format.

As part of the Connected Classrooms Program, the Macquarie ICT Innovations Centre is providing expertise, services and resources to support schools as they participate in the Interactive Classrooms Project in the Northern Sydney region.
